Pecan Creek Road Bridge & Cedar Creek Road Bridge Replacement

Replacing two aging community crossings

The Pecan Creek Road Bridge and the Cedar Creek Road Bridge have long served as quiet but essential links for the surrounding community. As these aging bridge structures began to limit safety and performance, the need for replacement became critical to maintaining consistent access across these crossings.

Both bridges were originally constructed decades ago, however, increased traffic volumes, combined with regional growth and evolving drainage requirements necessitated full bridge replacement to enhance load capacity, roadway safety, and stormwater conveyance.

The projects included demolition of existing structures and construction of two new bridge crossings designed to meet modern county and state standards, along with associated roadway improvements and drainage enhancements.

Geotechnical engineering through construction verification

Associated Testing Laboratories provided geotechnical engineering services for the bridge replacement projects that included deep foundation system recommendations, slope stability and settlement analyses, scour and erosion control considerations, as well as groundwater management.

During construction, ATL provided construction materials testing services for both bridges to verify compliance with design specifications and to ensure quality control throughout construction.

For our clients, ATL offers dual-discipline involvement to ensure consistent quality from field investigation all the way through construction verification. ATL provides close coordination between geotechnical engineers, CMT personnel, and the construction team to ensure design assumptions are validated in the field and that required standards are met during construction.
