Strengthening Houston's water infrastructure
As Houston continues to grow, so does the demand on the infrastructure that supports it, placing increasing pressure on systems that communities rely on every day but rarely see. A critical investment in Houston's long-term water infrastructure, this 48-inch transmission line strengthens system capacity and supports the city's transition to a more sustainable water supply.
Developed as part of Houston's regionalization strategy, the project enables the shift from groundwater to surface water sources — helping meet subsidence regulations while improving system reliability and pressure in a rapidly growing area. The completed project delivers a resilient, high-capacity water system designed to serve the community for decades to come with the capacity and reliability needed to support both existing communities and future development along this expanding corridor.
Comprehensive CMT across the pipeline corridor
Comprehensive Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and inspection services were provided for the installation of approximately 12,500 linear feet of large-diameter water line along the Fuqua and Forbes corridor to Almeda Genoa. Testing and inspection services covered pipeline materials, trench backfill and compaction, concrete structures, and pavement restoration, ensuring compliance with stringent municipal standards and long-term performance expectations.
